The above picture shows Twizzler with one of his two toys that he came to us with. These are his favorite toys and pretty much the only ones he plays with. These toys are strictly reserved for Twizzler and nobody else in the house is allowed to play with them.
Twizzler's former owner is currently serving a jail term. Twizzler went to live with his owners sister. She contacted us because she felt that Twizzler needed someone who understood chiuahahas and would be willing to work with Twizzler and his issues.
When Twizzler came to us he had serious trust issues. His former owner used to like to throw Twizzler up in the air and catch him. He is slowly learning to tolerate being picked up and that no one here is going to hurt him. It's hard to say what other games that Twiz and his former owner used to play but I really doubt that Twizzler enjoyed any of them.
He seems to get very excited if we have pizza or pretzels in the house so that is possibly what his diet consisted of before he came to us.
