Stanley was an owner turn in. The people who owned Stanley had a daughter who died and their two grandchildren came to live with them. Stanley could not seem to adjust to the extra commotion in the house and Stanley also suffered from skin problems and allergies. The people made a very hard decision to find Stanley a new place to live and in their words "They were doing this for Stanley and not because he was too much of a bother or to make things easier for them". We took Stanley to our house and put him on a special diet along with some probiotics and holistic treatments and supplements Stanley now has good skin. His personality has really seemed to bloom and he is even playing a little bit.
Stanley has finally found his forever home. Stanley went to live at a new foster home as a step in finding him his own home. We thought that if Stanley could adjust to a new home situation he would definitely be ready for his own home. Stanley was the kind of dog who was not real social unless he wanted to be. He also wasn't social with any of the dogs here. He never showed aggression just ignored them. He walked into his new foster home and wagged his tail and actually interacted with the other dogs living there. It was almost as if he said "I'm home". Her home is set up for the comfort of the dogs. Stanley has a fenced in yard and a doggie door that he can come in and out of as much as he wants to. He has a nice back porch to sun himself on. He and his new foster mom hit it off so well that Stanley is now going to be living there forever.
