Yesterday morning our old dog Pinto passed away. She was almost 15 years old. Six years ago there was an ad on a crested list for her. They said she was an Engish import and could still be bred. I emailed the lady and offered 100.00 US and offered to pick her up. Luckily she lived in Canada near a friend of mine. When Ginger went to get Pinto she was shocked... the dirt and the smell almost knocked her over. The boyfriend said Pinto was pretty good as he had trained her what would happen when you didn't do as you were told with a cattle prod rod. She was such a gentle dog of course with a mind of her own. The last couple of years she has been blind and mostly deaf, and did whatever she wanted. Which was mostly walking very slowly in front of you so you could trip over her. She had been doing so well the last couple of months, we had her on a new homopatic remedy for her heart and skin. She went outside and puttered about in the yard last week when it was so warm. Every night she would give the naked dogs a good bath. Her appitite was excellent. She passed away quietly in her sleep and we will all miss her very much.
