Dooley's family was giving him away in a Wal-Mart parking lot. They said they could no longer afford to feed him. They were feeding him Ol Roy. Luckily a fellow rescuer was shopping at Wal-Mart and saw Dooley. They then contacted Janet about taking Dooley. Janet then contacted us to see if we had room for him. We of course said yes.
Dooley went through a few bouts of depression. He would stand out in the yard looking at the road at every car that went by. He kept thinking his family was coming to get him and wondering what had he done for his family to just hand him off to some strangers. We put Dooley on a homeopathic anti-depressant and he is much better now. He has not had any signs of depression in quite awhile and is very happy to be here now. His best trick is his ability to catch treats. He loves sleeping under the covers at nite.
Here is a picture of Dooley in his manly coat.
Dooley says the best thing about this house is......PeanutButter!
Dooley has finally found his forever home! This is a picture of Dooley and his new mom.
I sent along some of his homeopathic antidepression medicine and one of his favorite toys. When his new mom arrived I placed Dooley in her car and he wagged his tail a bit and took a treat from her. He even greeted her male friend a little. I think this is going to be a great home for Dooley.
